Learning paths
Choose your trajectory. Go one stage at a time.
A path is a short, ordered set of guides. Follow the stages in order and each one prepares you for the next — no guessing what to read first.

Frequently asked questions
- A learning path is a short, ordered sequence of guides on SpaceTheGuide. Each stage builds on the previous one, so there is no guessing what to read next. We offer three paths — Beginner, Student and Advanced — modelled on the progression recommended by the International Astronomical Union's education resources.
- The order is recommended but not enforced. If you already understand a topic, skip it. Your progress is saved in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device. You can reset it at any time.
- Start with First Look Up (Beginner). It covers the Moon, the Solar System, the Sun and the night sky in five short stages — no maths required. The IAU's public astronomy education recommends starting with naked-eye observation before moving to physics.
- The Deep Universe path covers the Big Bang, the expanding universe (Hubble's Law, redshift), dark matter and dark energy. It is aimed at readers comfortable with basic physics. Background reading: HubbleSite — The Big Bang and the ESA Planck mission pages.
